With a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I have over 10 years of experience working with a broad range of populations, including severely abused and neglected children to survivors of mass shootings and human trafficking. I had the honor of presenting at the 2016 American Counseling Association and Canadian Counseling; Psychotherapy Associations conference in Montreal, Canada, on Multicultural Voices of Suffering and Healing. I had the privilege of presenting in the virtual 2021 American Counseling Association’s annual conference on Is My Skin Louder than my Voice: Micro-aggressions in a Safe Space.

Currently, I am a doctoral student at Walden University to further my education and skills as an educator, advocate, researcher, and counselor! I naturally provide a warm, non-judgmental, and welcoming therapeutic environment to all of my clients. I believe that peace, healing, growth, and wholeness are integral parts of what we all strive for in creating and fostering our best selves; regardless of age, race, and background.

My philosophy supposes that sometimes finding and developing these facets of ourselves requires assistance and support; and the journey of self-discovery is not always meant to be done alone. I genuinely work from the lens that; everyone deserves unconditional positive regard! Whether you are a child who is struggling to make friends, a teen who is figuring "it" out, or an adult who is on a journey of self-discovery or healing from past hurts, or anything in between, you are welcome, appreciated and accepted!

I want to walk alongside you in your journey of healing! Let's do this together! My clients will discover that they are the experts at their own lives, but often traumas, negative thinking, and/or life circumstances blur their ability to access answers as well as impede coping and processing abilities. I work collaboratively with clients to remove blockages that hinder them from healing and moving into the best version of themselves.

I understand that we thrive best when we feel seen, heard, loved, appreciated & valued just for who we are. I want you to know that YOU are worth it! Congratulations on your bravery and welcome to therapy!

personal statement

"I don't think anyone can grow unless he's loved exactly as he is now, appreciated for what he is rather than what he will be." (Mr. Rogers)

I work collaboratively with you to attend to this journey of healing from the issues or traumas that trouble you. Sometimes traumas, pain, negative thinking, and/or life circumstances blur our ability to access answers and utilize our coping and processing skills. As humans, we thrive best when we feel seen, heard, loved, appreciated & valued just for who we are. It is an honor to join you on your journey to healing and wholeness!  Let's get to work!

Area of focus: Trauma and PTSD, Depression, Grief & Loss, Children & Adolescents, Families, Coping Skills, and Existential Issues
