Ligaya Dumaslan Smith is a Licensed Professional Counseling Candidate and is co-owner of Ayni Counseling LLC. Ligaya holds a masters degree in Counseling from Regis University and a bachelor’s degree in Public Health with a minor in Health Humanities from University of Colorado Denver. She is currently training and working towards licensure in Addictions Counseling. Ligaya was born and raised on the island of Hawaii and is of Filipino-American descent. She served six years in the Army and is a proud veteran of the armed forces. Ligaya has clinical experience working in a variety of settings including inpatient residential treatment, clinical case management, crisis intervention, structured addiction outpatient programs, jail based support groups, non-profits, and private practice. Ligaya is certified in Integrative Gestalt Therapy and is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Ligaya’s experience and training has shaped her counseling practice. She believes in a counseling journey that helps empower individuals in maintaining their personal identities, culture, and beliefs. It is Ligaya’s intention to uphold your process and provide a space that is sensitive, personalized, and compassionate.

It is my intention to uphold this and provide a space that is sensitive, personalized, and compassionate. My goal is to help create a safe space for you to begin this journey, to meet you where you're at, and to uphold the process in which your journey takes you.
